Between starting a new job, getting used to a crazy schedule and trying to meet up with people I used to see everyday, taking photos and blogging has fallen down my priority list, unfortunately. I’ve been quite lucky that my random days off have been sunny so I’ve been making the most of the summer. Here’s a little catch up post.
My days off have consisted of enjoying city views and street festivals, walks by the sea and sorting out the garden. Hope you’re all having a lovely summer 🙂
When you’re in a country where summer is a “blink and you’ll miss it” season, you have to take every opportunity you get to make the most of it. I had a day off on Monday and luckily the sun stayed for the day. So, in 24 hours I managed a bit of clear sky star gazing and planet spotting, coffee on the patio, a walk by the sea and ice cream! Pretty good all round 🙂
My view to enjoy ice cream to.
After a rainy and windy walk to the beach, we had to stop on the way back because the sun came out just in time for sunset. Typical!
Recently I’ve had some big changes in my life. I left my job and got a new one. Getting used to a completely different schedule and career is a challenge, but hopefully it’ll turn out to be a move for the better. As a result of my crazy schedule photography and blogging has taken a back seat. I will blog as much as I can, but it’s not going to be every second day. Bear with me while I get used to things 🙂
Have a lovely weekend!
June has started with some nice weather, although you never know when it’s going to change so you need to be prepared when going for a walk! Yesterday, as the sky was blue we decided on a short walk to Blackrock Castle, maybe do a little wedding spying (we were in luck!)
As we were leaving, I wanted to take a shot of the castle with a nice blue sky. I was just about to take it when the shot when the bow of a ship appeared!
I think this makes a change to my usual shots of Blackrock Castle and adds a bit of colour!
The sun is back…maybe briefly, but it’s back!
It’s a beautiful day here today in Ireland. This sky is not too different from the blue in this shot of a volcanic sand beach in Lanzarote.
It was my first time experiencing black sandy beaches, but they work just the same as regular golden sandy ones!!!
Have a lovely Sunday 🙂
A few years ago we stopped off in Sydney as part of our “big trip” and loved it. We had very good weather considering it was winter when we were there and we got to see a lot. We really liked the vibe of the city and hope to one day go back for longer.
Of course I got obsessed with the opera house and took many, many photos of it!
